As we celebrate Women in Construction Week, we’re shining a spotlight on Beatriz Gonzalez, Controller at JR RAMON Demolition. With 14 years at the company, Beatriz plays a crucial role in keeping all departments connected. She oversees cash flow, ensures the accuracy of financial operations, and implements systems that help the team efficiently manage and analyze financial data.

For Beatriz, one of the most rewarding aspects of her job is seeing financial details come together to support various projects. But beyond the numbers, she understands their significance. “It’s not just numbers—those numbers tell a story,” she shared. “Working in administration and accounting is incredibly rewarding because we get to see the big picture come together.”
Her dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. “What I appreciate most about Beatriz is the accountability she brings to the work performed by her and her team,” said JR RAMON President Timothy Ramon. “She relentlessly delivers results with a good attitude and a smile, setting the example we can all aspire to emulate. Things would not be the same without Beatriz as part of our Team.”
"People will recognize your perspective and appreciate the value we bring as women in this industry."
However, navigating the construction industry as a woman isn’t always easy. In a traditionally male-dominated field, many women must adapt and assert their place. “It was tricky at first to find my footing and prove that I could handle this,” Bea recalled.
Despite the challenges, she encourages women to pursue their careers with confidence. “Stay focused and determined,” she shared. “People will recognize your perspective and appreciate the value we bring as women in this industry.”
